Playing certain sports such as racquet sports (tennis, squash etc.) can result in eye injuries. Much sport’s governing bodies, e.g. England Squash have guidelines and rules for the use of eye protectors. There is actually a British Standard for eye protection suitable for squash players - BS7930:1. Other sports such as rugby, martial arts or boxing also have the potential for causing eye damage.
